The No. 6 seed Boston University women’s hockey team (6-6) was hosted at Schneider Arena for the Hockey East quarterfinals against the No. 3 seed Providence College Friars (11-6-1). The Terrier’s season was cut short as the Friars came out with a 4-3 victory in the single elimination game in the first meeting the two teams have had in 414 days.

The Boston University women’s hockey team (6-5) will head to Rhode Island this Sunday to play the Providence College Friars (10-6-1) in the quarterfinals of the Hockey East playoffs. The Terriers clinched a playoff spot in December, giving them an opening-round bye––this weekend’s game will be their first of the postseason.

The BU women’s hockey team (5-4) is hoping third time’s a charm as they head into their weekend series against the Boston College Eagles (13-3) that has previously been cancelled twice. The Battle of Comm Ave will finally be revived for the first time this season after BU went 3-1 against their rivals on Chestnut Hill last year; their 4-0 victory on February 4, 2020 knocked BC out of the 42nd Annual Women’s Beanpot in the preliminary round.
