Women’s Hockey 2021-2022 recap

The Boston University women’s hockey team began the season with a weekend sweep of the University of New Hampshire, but that would be one of their only two sweeps all season. After initial strong weekends against Northeastern, UNH, and Merrimack, the team struggled to stay consistent and productive for a majority of the year.

After falling to Harvard in the first round of the Beanpot last Tuesday, the Boston University women’s hockey team (10-12-5, 9-7-4 Hockey East) lost to the Northeastern University Huskies (23-4-1, 17-3-1 HE) by a score of 3-0 tonight at Matthews Arena.

Women’s Hockey offense can’t get going in loss to BC

The Boston University women’s hockey team (10-11-4, 9-7-4 Hockey East) met up with their cross-town rivals, the Boston College Eagles (17-11, 14-8 HE) for the second time this season. The Eagles took the contest 3-0. 

Women’s Hockey shootout victory against UConn

Following a tough loss to Harvard in the Beanpot semifinal on Tuesday afternoon, the Boston University women’s ice hockey team (10-10-5, 9-6-4 HE) bounced back with a 2-1 shootout win in Hockey East action against the No. 10 University of Connecticut Huskies (20-6-3, 14-5-3 HE) at Walter Brown Arena.

After a 4-1 loss to Harvard in the first round of the Beanpot on Tuesday, the Boston University women’s hockey team (10-10-4, 9–6-3 Hockey East) is set to host the University of Connecticut Huskies (20-6-2, 14-5-2 HE) tonight at Walter Brown Arena.

Women’s Hockey falls to Harvard in Beanpot opener

The Boston University women’s ice hockey team (10-10-4, 9-6-3 HE) opened up Beanpot action this afternoon in the semi-final matchup with the no. 6 Harvard University Crimson (16-5, 12-3 ECAC) at Matthews Arena. Though a hard-fought effort, the Terriers were unable to play a solid 60 minutes of hockey and let the game slip away from them in the third period.

The time has finally come––it’s Beanpot week! The Boston University women’s hockey team (10-9-4, 9-6-3 HE) will face the No. 6 Harvard University Crimson (15-5, 12-3 ECAC) tomorrow evening at Matthews Arena for the preliminary round of the long-awaited tournament.

Women’s Hockey victorious against Holy Cross

The Boston University women’s hockey team (10-9-4, 9-6-3 Hockey East) was in Worcester last night to face off against the Holy Cross Crusaders (3-21, 1-18 HE) for the third time this season. The Terriers earned their first regulation win of 2022 with a 4-3 feat.

Women’s Hockey on the Road this Weekend to Face RPI and Union College

The Boston University women’s hockey team (3-0-2) will spend the weekend in upstate New York where they’ll face two different opponents: The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers (2-4) on Friday and the Union College Dutchmen (2-4-1) on Saturday.
