Terriers’ season ends in Tampa, fall to Minnesota 6-2
The Boston University Terriers’ (29-11-0) magical run came to an end in Tampa Thursday night, falling to the top-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers (29-9-1) 6-2. BU said goodbye to 10 seniors, all of whom returned to play in this very game.

Fueled by a two-goal, characteristic performance from Lane Hutson, the Boston University men’s hockey team (27-10-0, 19-6-0 Hockey East) clinched the 2023 Hockey East Championship title in a 3-2 overtime win against the Merrimack College Warriors (23-13-1, 16-9-0 HE).

The Terriers made their return to the TD Garden after having seemingly recovered from the malaise that was onset by the Beanpot. After a sketchy 60 minutes, BU found its game in overtime to beat the Providence College Friars 2-1.
