We can all thank God and Dylan Peterson for that. A dominant offense headlined by BU’s veteran players and backed by Drew Commesso gave BU its first weekend sweep since Jan. 29 with a 3-0 shutout victory over the University of Vermont Catamounts (9-18-5, 4-15-3 HE).
The Boston University men’s hockey team (20-10-0, 14-6-0 Hockey East) hosted the Merrimack College Warriors (18-21-1, 13-8-0 HE) tonight at Agganis Arena where they lost 4-3 in overtime and got swept for the first time this season.
Although the compete and drive was there for the Terriers Friday night, their offensive struggles continued in a 4-1 loss to the Merrimack Warriors (16-12-1, 11-8-0 HE).
With the tournament now behind them, the No. 5 Boston University men’s hockey team (20-8-0, 14-4-0 Hockey East) has the opportunity to get back on track in a home-and-home series with the Merrimack College Warriors (16-12-1, 11-8-0 HE).
The No.5 Boston University men’s hockey team (20-8-0, 14-4-0 Hockey East) fell 4-2 to the Boston College Eagles (10-12-6, 5-8-5 HE) in the smaller stage of the second Monday in February, the first back-to-back loss for BU this season.
For the first time in the tournament’s 70 iterations, the Terriers and Eagles will compete against each other in the consolation round. Puck drop is set for 4:30pm at TD Garden.
