The Top Five Moments from BU’s Saturday Loss to BC

Newhook draws first blood

With BC pressuring early on, Alex Newhook punched in the first goal of the game seven minutes in on the cross-ice feed from fellow freshman Matt Boldy.

Mastrosimone nearly bats one in

Robert Mastrosimone nearly brought BU level early in the second period, making solid contact on a floating rebound from Cam Crotty’s shot before Spencer Knight made the stop.

Moore doubles from downtown

Taking a pass across the blue line, Connor Moore blasted a shot that never left the ice but found its way through a crowd in front and in 7:48 into the middle frame.

Cotton makes it three

Just over four minutes into the third, Logan Hutsko took a loose puck and made a slick move to set up David Cotton, who picked the top corner to make BC’s lead three.

Curry provides a consolation

Trailing by three midway through the third, BU got on the board thanks to Patrick Curry’s tip on a David Farrance blast from the point just seconds into a BU power play. With BU pressuring late, Graham McPhee negated Curry’s goal with an empty-netter to make it a 4-1 final.
