The Top Five Moments from BU’s Friday win at Vermont

BU got past Vermont 4-2 on Friday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Here are the five plays I picked out as the best moments of the game.

Lodermeier gets UVM the early lead

Derek Lodermeier got the Catamounts on the board 8:41 in, taking a lofted stretch pass and beating Ashton Abel one-on-one to give UVM the early lead.

McCarthy gets his first as a Terrier

Picking up the puck in the neutral zone five minutes into the second, Case McCarthy skated along the boards and fired off a shot that found it’s way in to level the score 1-1 and give the freshman his first collegiate goal.

Chabot wrestles one in

Jumping on a rebound from McCarthy’s blast, Gabe Chabot tucked the puck past Lekkas less than two minutes into the third period to notch his second goal in as many games and give BU the 2-1 lead.

Evers levels it up

Tying the game 58 seconds after Chabot gave BU the lead in the third, Christian Evers took advantage of a poor BU clearance and bombed one in from the blue line to make it 2-2.

Zegras wins it late

With BU on the power play inside of four minutes to play, Trevor Zegras slid one past Lekkas at the near post to give BU its ultimate game-winner.
