The Top Five Moments from Saturday’s BU loss at BC

BU was ultimately outlasted by BC on Saturday night as the Eagles won 4-3 at Conte Forum. Here are the plays I chose as the top five moments of the game.

5. Harper gets BU on the board

Just after surviving a penalty late in the first period, the Terriers drew level 1-1 as Patrick Harper launched a shot from between the circles through a crowd and in for his ninth goal of the season.

4. Hardman sneaks one in

Shortly after Harper leveled the game late in the first period, BC’s Mike Hardman attempted a wraparound that tipped off Sam Tucker’s blocker and trickled in, giving the Eagles the 2-1 lead at the first break.

3. Hutsko makes it two on the night

Finding space in front four minutes into the third period, Logan Hutsko converted on a pass by Julius Mattila from behind the net, scoring his second goal of the game and giving the Eagles their third lead.

2. Curry’s second brings BU even again

Working on the power play, Trevor Zegras provided a centering feed to Patrick Curry between the dots and the captain rocketed in his second goal of the game, beating Spencer Knight high-glove to knot the game at threes with 14 minutes to play.

1. Mattila gets a good bounce late

Taking on David Farrance one-on-one outside of Tucker’s right dot, Julius Mattila pulled the trigger and his shot redirected off of Farrance and in at Sam Tucker’s right post to put BC up for good with 5:40 left in regulation.
