Live Blog: BU @ UMass, 11/16 at 8:00pm

In the second half of a weekend doubleheader, BU will head to Amherst’s Mullins Center for a rematch with N0. 5 Massachusetts at 8pm on Saturday night.

Outshot 52-22, the Terriers found a way to beat the Minutemen 4-3 on Friday night thanks to 49 saves from Sam Tucker and goals from Matt Quercia, Patrick Curry, Gabe Chabot, and David Farrance. With UMass certainly looking for revenge, the grudge match will certainly be an entertaining contest.

  1. 1 minute shy of one-half hour of penalty time, vs 6 minutes for UMASS. UMASS player loses an edge, slips and falls = tripping penalty for BU. Last allowed UMASS goal was questionable for high stick, but was NOT REVIEWED. Last un-allowed goal was nearly identical, was reviewed, and review clearly showed a high stick. Inconsistency was disappointing. We did very well considering we had to play both UMASS and the officiating. PK was excellent, as was Tucker. Played half the game short handed against two opponents, and were still in the game.

  2. Last night the officiating allowed the players to determine the outcome of the game. Tonight that was not the case.
