Boston Hockey Pod: The Captain is Back!

Hey, everyone! With the news that senior captain Matt Grzelcyk will return on Friday against Northeastern University, this weekend’s innocent podcast turned a bit long. But it’s full of conversation (and ranting?) about Grzelcyk, the defense, attendance and how the team is marketed toward students.

We also feature a special guest, my friend Josh Brown, who does hockey play-by-play for WRBB, Northeastern’s student radio station. He gives us some background on Northeastern and an update on Sam Kurker, a former BU player who now suits up for the Huskies.

We also answered some of your questions as best we could and we’re hoping to do a mailbag-type feature in the future — it was fun! It definitely keeps us on our toes and diversifies things up a bit.

Feel free to take a listen and let us know what you think! And if anyone hasn’t seen it, here’s the video of Connor LaCouvee we reference around 22:40.

  1. I think that the Captain will provide some much needed leadership on the ice and from the bench. It also doesn’t hurt to have his play making ability back on the blue line.Welcome back Grizzy!!!
