Odds and Ends: Day after Providence

Hope everyone had a great Halloweekend. Here are a few links and notes from this weekend to get you caught up on all of the action.

-Former Boston Mayor Tom Menino, who died Thursday morning, was recognized before Saturday’s game with a moment of silence. I went through some archives looking for Menino’s relationship with the BU Hockey program, and discovered he declared “Terrier Day” after the team won the national championship back in 2009. This was far before my time at BU, but I’m sure quite a few of you remember that day.

-My recap of yesterday’s game.

-Conor’s sidebar on how a sluggish start doomed the Terriers.

-Andrew’s pluses and minuses from Saturday.

Coach Quinn’s and Providence coach Nate Leaman’s comments after Saturday’s game.

BC fell in overtime to Denver, 2-1.

Maine beat UMass-Amherst, 3-2.

UMass-Lowell handed UNH an 8-2 loss.

Notre Dame tied Vermont, 2-2, in overtime.
