From the FreeP: David Quinn prepares for first BC game as head coach

By Meredith Perri/DFP Staff

The last time David Quinn sat on a bench for a game between the Boston University men’s hockey team and Boston College, the then-associate coach watched the Terriers score three goals in less than a minute to defeat the Eagles in the semifinal round of the 2009 Hockey East Tournament.

Now, as head coach of the No. 17 Terriers (4-4, 2-1 Hockey East), Quinn said he did not prepare the team for the rivalry game any differently than he would any other team, but he acknowledges the importance of the game.

“I think both schools circle this game on their schedule no matter where the standings are, how good the teams are, no matter what the records are,” Quinn said. “It’s always a competitive, well-played game. This is going to be no different.”

  1. Why is DQ making excuses already? He hasn’t lost yet.

    • There are 3 or 4 of you that are on David’s case each week and always about nothing. Obviously, you have an agenda. Why not just shut up and go away.

  2. We do not have the players as Parker would not get rid of Bavis after doing such a poor job over the years. THis is as poor a roster I have seen in many a year.

    • You got that right. Ignore the haters. If they had ANY hockey knowledge whatsoever, they would know the low level of talent on this team. Did they forget he recruited the 2009 championship team?

  3. Of course they forgot he (DQ) recruited the 09 championship team, they must be on sidi & have way too much time on their hands…I am sure the AD knows more about hockey than these morons.

  4. Its hilarious reading the negative responses. Clearly too much time on their hands. Hahaha
