The Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL have signed former BU forward Wes Myron, according to a team release.
The Wings are are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, who drafted Myron in the sixth round (177th overall) of the 2012 NHL draft. They are also affiliated with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.
Myron had three points – two goals and an assist – in 21 games with the Terriers before leaving the team on Feb. 1 to pursue professional hockey opportunities. Terms of his contract with the Wings were not disclosed.

In a local interview, Myron said he was happy to be playing where he could look to a coach to help develop his talent instead of letting it waste away.
I’m putting a challenge out to my fellow BU fans: show up for the consolation game. The players need our support. How would it look for our team and our recruiting to play in front of an empty building? This could be our last chance to see Parker coach a Beanpot game.
You could be right about this being Parker’s last Beanpot.
At USCHO, there is a long BU thread that says Parker was pretty much fired last summer but out of respect for his long service he was allowed to finish this season then “retire”.
Based on Parker’s lack of interest and passion behind the bench (expect for when he’s yelling at the referees), this seems very likely.
Re: Myron, what talent? Parker has developed some of the best players in the NHL. As for the “crowd” Monday night, no one ever goes to these games. As BU is just about out of a chance for the NCAA Championship the game has no meaning save for moms, dads, and girl friends. I was to go but this team has broken my heart too many times of late.So sad.
The crowd on the second Monday looked pretty full when BC was playing the last couple of years. It seems that it’s the BU fans who are staying away.

Has anyone noticed that the team started to fade away when Cisse left then crashed after Myron left. Looks like these two were far more important than Parker gave them credit for.
Where’s the preview of the Beanpot consolation game? This is a huge game if we want to make the NCAAs. We will be playing in an empty building but it’s a huge game.
It will also be Jack Parker’s final Beanpot game if the news on the USCHO boards are true.
Do Parker’s comments about Myron also apply to Kruker and Lane bcause they all have the same number of goals?

Not so sure about Myron’s departure impacting the team (yet), but this is a good point raised about Cisse’s departure and its potential impact on the team (esp. behind the scenes). Despite his lack of production, from various accounts I heard Cisse was a very good and well-liked teammate.
Another coincidence one might draw is Noonan’s appointment to an “A”. On paper it seemed like a solid idea, but I think there might be a coincidence between this and the team’s substandard play. Noonan hasn’t played well since getting an “A”, taking really bad penalties (i.e. Denver, Lowell) and not setting a good on-ice example for his teammates.
From what I’ve seen and heard, Noonan is an excellent teammate, but something seems amiss with him taking on a leadership role mid-season and its impact on the team’s performance.
