Friday night’s home game for the Boston University women’s hockey team not only celebrated the accomplishments of this year’s senior class prior to the final regular season game of their collegiate careers, but also the accomplishments of Coach Brian Durocher.
The Boston University women’s hockey team (11-17-3, 9-13-3 Hockey East) will close out their regular season with a home and home series against the No.5 Northeastern University Huskies (28-2-1, 22-2-1 HE) this weekend.
The Terriers will head into the consolation game at Boston College to compete for third place in the 44th Women’s Beanpot in a matchup with the Harvard Crimson (7-16-3, 6-11-3 ECAC).
BU generated an offensive onslaught in the final minutes in Saturday’s showdown with Boston College, but it wasn’t enough. The Eagles (18-12-1, 15-10-0 Hockey East) survived, eking out a 2-1 win over the Terriers (10-16-3, 9-12-3 HEA) at Walter Brown Arena.
The Boston University women’s hockey team (6-8-0, 5-7-0 Hockey East) secured their first sweep of the season against the No. 12 University of Connecticut Huskies (10-6-2, 6-6-2 HE) following an impressive Friday night victory the day before.

Coming off an overtime win on Friday, the Terriers raised their level of play and put together a shutdown game.
