The Terriers scored seven goals in the first 60 minutes of the season, the most in a single game under second-year head coach Tara Watchorn. Goalscorers: Tamara Giaqunito (2x), Lola Reid, Lindsay Bochna, Clara Yuhn, Ani Fitzgerald and Kaileigh Quigg.
The BU women’s hockey team opened its season with a 7-1 statement win over Merrimack on Tuesday evening with contributions from every line.
The Terriers will open up regular season play in a Hockey East matchup against Merrimack College Tuesday night at Agganis Arena. The puck will drop at 6 p.m.

Saturday’s 4-2 win against the Catamounts certainly proves that this version of Boston University’s women’s ice hockey team is different and poised to continue its strong start to the spring semester.
