Looking to build off strong weekend splits against the University of Michigan and UConn, the No. 9 Boston University Men’s Hockey Team (3-3-0, 1-2-0 HE) took a quick trip up route three to take on the No. 18 UMass Lowell River Hawks (5-2-0, 2-0-0 HE).
The Boston University men’s hockey team (3-2-0, 1-1-0 Hockey East) will travel north to face the University of Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks (4-2-0, 1-0-0 HE) for its first road conference game of the young season. The Terriers will play at Tsongas Arena on Friday before hosting Lowell on Saturday night at Agganis Arena.
Following a 6-1 victory over no. 16 Ohio State last Saturday afternoon, the University of Connecticut Huskies (6-0-1, 3-0-0 Hockey East) won the first of a two game series against the Boston University Terriers (2-2-0, 0-1-0 HE) in the 3-2 overtime final.
After splitting a series with the Michigan Wolverines, the Boston University men’s hockey team (2-1-0, 0-0-0 Hockey East) returns to Agganis Arena to host the University of Connecticut Huskies (5-0-1, 2-0-0 HE) for their first two conference games of the year.
The Boston University men’s hockey team (1-0-0) is set to take on the University of Waterloo Warriors (0-0-0) in an exhibition match up at Agganis Arena on Saturday night.
Saturday night marks the return of Boston University men’s hockey for the 2022-2023 season. The Terrier team will make their season debut versus the Bentley University Falcons of the Atlantic Hockey Association with a 7:00pm puck drop at Agganis Arena.
The Boston University men’s hockey team is coming into the 2022-2023 season with a veteran squad hungry for trophies. This year’s roster boasts ten seniors, all of whom have become an integral part of the Terrier identity as they head into their fourth year of collegiate hockey. In their final run in scarlet and white, these senior players have the opportunity to make it count.

In the wake and reflection of the epic highs and lows of the 2021-2022 Terrier hockey season and an exciting postseason across the country, it’s not easy to point out exactly where things went wrong. For a squad of mostly returning players from last year’s NCAA berth, even despite the COVID year, the potential for the perfect storm was there. It was the 100th year of BU Hockey, and if there was any year to make history this was it.
On the heels of a rocky season on Comm. Ave, the Boston University athletics department showed it’s committed to raising the expectations and performance of Terrier hockey by setting out to replace former head coach Albie O’Connell.
