Alfond Arena stayed dead quiet as the Boston University men’s hockey team celebrated its shootout win over the Black Bears after salvaging a 2-2 tie in the final moments of Saturday’s game at Alfond Arena.

Before an enormous series with Boston College on Nov. 15-16, the Terriers have a chance to close the loop on this stellar start to the season with two more games against Merrimack.
The Boston University women’s hockey team (4-3-0, 4-1-0 Hockey East) will look to win their fourth and fifth straight at Syracuse University’s Tennity Ice Pavilion, where they will take on the Orange (2-5-0) on Friday and Saturday.
After falling behind in the first period of Saturday’s Hockey East opener against the University of Connecticut, the Terriers did just enough to escape Agganis Arena with a 4-2 win.
