Zach Cohen, who just wrapped up his senior year with the Boston University men’s hockey team, has signed an entry-level contract with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, according to Colorado’s team web site.
Cohen will report to the team’s AHL affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters, where he’ll be reunited with former BU associate head coach David Quinn.
Cohen led the Terriers this year with 15 goals, while also adding 10 assists for a total of 25 points. A year ago, Cohen broke out with 13 goals and five assists as BU skated to a national championship.
