By the end of October, Boston University men’s hockey coach Jack Parker will have at least one more trophy to add to his ever-growing collection.
On Thursday, the 37-year Terrier bench boss was named one of four recipients of the Lester Patrick Trophy for outstanding service to ice hockey in the United States. Joining Parker in the 2010 class are current Boston College coach Jerry York, former Boston Bruins winger and NHL Hall of Famer Cam Neely and current American Hockey League president David Andrews.
