Blackburn cashes in early

The Terriers couldn’t corral a loose puck in their zone and Liam Blackburn made them pay, whipping home an icebreaker from the slot less than two minutes into the game.

Skoog ties it during the major

With Angus Crookshank ejected for a major penalty about midway through the first period, Wilmer Skoog tied the game with a backhand finish up close.

UNH goal gets called off

The Wildcats thought they had the lead 7:30 into the second when Patrick Grasso tucked a rebound home, but a referee signaled that the puck had previously been played by a high stick, keeping it 1-1.

Curry finishes on the doorstep

BU took the lead late in the second period when Dom Fensore skated around the offensive zone and fed Patrick Curry at the right post, where the captain punched it in.

Cockerill finishes it off

With Mike Robinson pulled from the UNH net in the final minute, Logan Cockerill sent in an empty-netter to seal BU’s 3-1 win and score his first goal of 2020.
