On Saturday night, the Terriers announced the addition of Swedish center Wilmer Skoog for the second half of the 2019-20 season.
Coming to BU from the Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), Skoog recorded 15 goals and 18 assists in 24 games earlier this season. The 20-year old left-shot forward also excelled with the Minot Minotauros of the NAHL in the 2018-19 season, totaling 47 points in 57 games with 18 goals and 29 assists en route to a plus-14 rating.
Standing at six-foot-two and 196 pounds, the 20-year old left-shot forward was set to arrive at Boston University ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, but will be joining the Terriers a semester early to boost BU’s forward group down the stretch this season.
