  1. Congrats to the players who will be representing there countries it’s a great honor to dawn a sweater with your countries emblem on the front. It’s also a great honor that year in and year out players from our team program get chosen to play. I look forward to watching this tournament and seeing our guys play. Hopefully after the tournament they come back even better players 🐾

At one time college hockey would play through the season. This large gap in play is not good for the college game. Three weeks off. Really ? I think the World Jr games are interesting but I want to see BU Hockey not all star games. This country as a whole is getting so soft.

  3. Well I definitely don’t want to see BU Hockey play if several of our top players are not available. Just curious, how about having the goalies wear masks? Is that too “soft” for you ROFL?

  4. Any body else sick of the excuses for the poor results to date? How come it seems like every goaltender is the next Ken Dryden when he competes against B.U.? If these results continues there is always the were to young issue which in my mind masks the truth of a mentally fragile team that is not prepared to compete for 60 minutes every night.
Ironically more players chosen to tryout for World Juniors than any other team in college hockey . An average of one player per B.U. team victory this season to date. Not a statistic that I would think anyone would feel is any where close to a positive accomplishment. I might add almost impossible to do if you really think about it.
Any body else concerned that B.U. barely managed one point against the worst beagle team I have seen since around 2000. How is it possible to get one shot on the power play in five minutes? Any reason why the top six forwards and top four defenseman have performed to date so far below reasonable expectations? Especially one of your captains, whom in my mind was so badly beaten on two own zone face off that he turned the Friday game around and then missed an open net on Saturday.
So in my mind this is a lot worse than last year. Can the turn it around, absolutely but until the culture changes that will be difficult to achieve.

  5. It’s not a excuse to say this team is young. We are the youngest team in college hockey. Bono has been great on faceoffs in general this year. Our forwards and defenseman have been playing well. I think the most underrated player in college hockey is Fabro he plays shut down D jumps into the offense and plays a ridiculous amount of minutes. Best defenseman in college hockey. Reasons why goalies look like ken Dryden when we play them is we don’t shoot enough from high percentage spots we use in my opinion that second wave circle move on the half wall way to much. I would love to play a little old school get over the blue line down the center let er rip and crash the net this will keep other teams defense and goalie honest and make defending against the second wave harder as the defense would not be able to cheat to it. I think teams scout us and see our o zone entry. I see us making adjustments which will help us offensively i think it’s only a matter of time before we explode offensively. I’m not sure what your gripe is about world juniors but over the last few years we have sent many players to that tournament that’s quite a accomplishment. Also you mention bc I won’t comment on how that team rates to previous teams but every player from last years team have returned plus walstrom they finished first in the league last year regular season of course because we won the tournament. Just saying we are not in as bad of shape as some on this blog make us out to be. Go bu🐾

  7. Something to get upset about I had to check his age but it looks like farrence was cut this summer wow this kid can play. You would think some person on USA hockey would say hey this kid can play. It just proves my point there is a human political aspect to this tournament coach is from Minnesota so like last year Krys and a few years before that gryzlick someone gets left out. This is what should upset bu fans a great player being skipped over.🐾🐾

Colin ,that we are the youngest team in college IS the problem. We are the youngest because our recruits do no VALUE education at BU at all. The top guys will always leave but why the “JFK’s” ? The later will be out of hockey before he is 28. What then ?

  9. Son of CC,
Excellent point, too many of these so called all stars or high end players are focused on one single goal to get to the NHL. They equate a year at B.U. too being in the AHL. They would rather win a game than lose but the primary goal is to sharpen individual skills so they will be in the NHL next year.

  10. Son of c.c. Your preaching to the quire there I wish we could have all these guys for 4 years but you can’t blame a kid for pursuing his dream and making lots of money. I disagree with the notion that they don’t value there education I know jake is a few credits shy Dante did not have to come back and he did. These kids love bu. I see them out in Boston and all they do is represent the university in the best possible light. I think coach has seen what has happened the last few years and he will be looking for more of a mix of guys some 4 year guys with some blue chip high drafted guys. I don’t know the specifics but one of the players told me that the team does real well with academic gpa.

  11. One other point and I hope people don’t knock these kids but you have guys like Switzer praudzick witkowski and others that are great players who don’t get a lot of ice time . But stick with bu they care about there education. They could play at any D1 school they wanted to but they picked bu I give them all the credit because they work as hard or even harder then some guys in the line up. So I don’t like to hear they don’t care .

  12. GREAT players, Colin.

Are you freaking serious? When you make statements like that you lose all credibility in my mind. Not that that matters to you.

  13. Vinnie your opinion of me means absolutely nothing to me. I don’t need to impress you. Bu plays at the highest level of D1 hockey so everyone who plays here are great hockey players. And I make the statement that they switzer praudzick and witkowski work harder is because they have school and practice and I know how hard they work to crack the line up so yes in my mind they work the hardest. I believe perhaps you or others said I lost all credibility last year when I said the bu train would storm down the tracks . We all know how that turned out.

  14. if we had those three guys in last night, we would have won by at least 4 goals. Just ask Colin
