Goaltender Max Prawdzik, a native of Andover and a graduate of the Brooks School, has committed to play for Boston University starting this fall.
Prawdzik announced the news via his Twitter account:
Proud to announce my commitment to Boston University for this fall! Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way #GoTerriers

In his senior season at Brooks, Prawdzik compiled a 19-5-4 record, a 1.39 goals-against average, and .943 save percentage, in addition to recording six shutouts. He was named the 2014-15 ISL Eberhart Division MVP and also received 2014-2015 All New England Team honors.
Back on March 8, he led Brooks to a 4-2 victory over Belmont Hill in the NEPSAC Martin/East Large School title game, recording 26 saves in the contest.
Prawdzik, who is 6-foot-3 and 165 pounds, will compete with goaltenders Sean Maguire and Connor LaCouvee for time in net this fall.
Congrats and Welcome to BU
Yes, I extend Max a warm welcome from Terrier Nation! It will be an interesting mix of goalies … a freshman, sophomore, and junior. I hope one of them emerges clearly as the #1 guy … within the first half of the 2015-2016 season.
BC has had a lot of luck with real young goalies. Hope we do also. I still question some of our goalie recruiting and hope we are going in the right direction. Let’s face it goaltending ha not been one of our stronger suits in many years.
