BU ties Maine 2-2

By Sam Dykstra/DFP Staff

The undefeated streak will live to see another game.

The No. 3 Boston University men’s hockey team needed a late goal by freshman forward Charlie Coyle to tie No. 7 University of Maine 2-2 Saturday night at Agganis Arena.

Junior co-captain Chris Connolly scored the first goal of the contest to put BU up, but goals for defenseman Jeff Dimmen and forward Gustav Nyquist gave the Black Bears the advantage in the third.

Junior goalie Kieran Millan made 34 saves in the tie and will have to wait another day to get the 50th win of his NCAA career.
