The Top Five Moments from Friday’s BU win over Lowell

Brown can’t connect

Matt Brown slipped in on a breakaway after a quick give-and-go early in the second period, but the freshman whiffed on the shot attempt as Ashton Abel turned it away for one of his 17 saves on the night.

Mastrosimone adds on late

After drawing a penalty late in the third, Robert Mastrosimone connected on the ensuing power play off of a slick move from BU’s third line, which provided the Terriers’ first and last goals of the game.

Zegras nearly breaks through

A shot by Trevor Zegras early in the second period snuck through Tyler Wall, but Chase Blackmun got his stick behind the netminder to push the puck off the line just in time.

Harper gets two

Following Zegras’s example from moments before, Patrick Harper scored from the slot to make BU’s lead three and added another on a rebound 2:53 later.

Phillips opens the scoring

Ethan Phillips broke the 0-0 deadlock 6:47 into the third period when Mastrosimone and Wilmer Skoog combined to set up their fellow freshman linemate, who snapped in the eventual game-winner.
