The regular season comes to a close on Saturday night for the No. 6 Boston University men’s hockey team, as it hosts No. 13 University of Notre Dame at Agganis Arena.
The regular-season title is still up for grabs, and Hockey East has outlined each possible scenario. The long and short is such: If Notre Dame wins it finishes in first place, while if BU wins it will share the title with UMass Lowell and Boston College.

These two sides met on Friday night, with the Fighting Irish earning a 3-1 win. Mindful of that, Coach Quinn and the Terriers will look to head into the playoffs on a high note, having already secured a first-round bye.

Two-thirds of my wish has come true. I wanted to see a line of Harper-Keller-Bellows. Go BU!!! Let’s end the regular season on a strong and positive note.
Two thoughts: First, I hope that Hickey’s return for the Hockey East playoffs will be just the sparkplug we need to ignite this underperforming Terrier team. Second, I am really starting to believe that in order to win a national title, there has to be a major contribution from the upperclassmen. As talented as the freshmen and sophomore classes are, I do not believe they can carry us. Having offensively productive players who return next year is going to be critical for us. As amazing as Eichel was, we would not have gotten to the NCAA finals without upperclassmen like E-Rod, Hohmann, O’Regan, and Oksanen.
Jonathan, why could we not have comments on the live blog this weekend ? Tech problems ?
This is news to me. I was wondering where the commenters were all weekend, as I could see people were tuning in. I’ll look into this for the playoff games.
With McLeod and Bellows playing exponentially better hockey, it’s like we suddenly have two new high-end players heading into the post-season. Here’s to the beginning of a nine-game winning streak!

calm down, Oz. bellows is just getting comfortable – slowly building up his confidence. i would leave him where he is now and have him continue to develop.
