’99-born Cockerill commits to Terriers

Before Saturday’s playoff game against Merrimack College, the Boston University men’s hockey team added another recruit to its already impressive list.

According to his Twitter account, forward Logan Cockerill has committed to BU.

The 16-year-old from Brighton, Michigan has 56 points (27 goals and 29 assists) in 60 games this season for Belle Tire AAA 16U Midget Minor in spite of his 5-foot-9 frame. He reportedly had interest from other schools in Hockey East.

Cockerill, the brother of Northeastern University defenseman Garrett Cockerill, is expected to come to BU for the 2017-18 season.
